Job Description

Purpose of Position

Overseeing Finance Department functions, integrating finance and operations, forecasting and budgeting, complying with rules and regulations as per Company’s policies and Industry standards, preparing financial reports and ensuring Company financial stability


  • Overseeing compliance of Finance Department functions by assuring of Company’s objectives in operational effectiveness and efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with Tax laws, regulations and policies as per Company deadlines as well as Insurance companies etc.
  • Responsible for preparing of all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with Company policies;
  • Supervising completion and submission of statutory returns in an accuracy and timely manner to ensure that the Company meets its obligations both statutory and non-statutory;
  • Analyzing financial data by ensuring that management reports analysis that summarizes or forecast Company’s financial position is prepared on time;
  • Participating in budgeting processes and overseeing other estimates including insurances;
  • Overseeing the coordination of audit processes.
  • Overseeing internal controls i.e. actual income and expenditure
  • Ensure that Finance Department provide accurate, timely and complete information, including accounting records, in order to plan, monitor and report business operations;
  • Ensure that that relevant financial and non-financial information is supplied on time;
  • Control environment, integrity and ethical values to comply with Company policies;
  • Control Financial activities, information and communication to avoid risk;
  • Update your immediate supervisor on financial requirements and arrangements and advice Directors on all relevant changes, interpreting new guidance with regards to financial and statutory requirements;
  • Assist to prepare special reports for regulators, governmental agencies and banks; and
  • Any other duties assigned by management


Relationship with Camps:

  • Maintain prompt communication with camps manager;
  • Supervision of all Camps financial framework by understanding their requirements to ensure that they comply with Company financial policies
  • Administering response of finance department to the needs of Camp Managers





  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce;
  • CPA (T), ACCA Qualified will also be carrying priorities;
  • Working knowledge of accounting software particularly Sage Pastel Revolution
  • Strong leadership qualities and analytical skills;
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals;
  • Auditing experience;
  • Compliance oriented
  • Proven experience in finance management preferably in a Tourism Industry
